Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab is ready for business

Cheever Construction is proud to announce the completion of the new Nebraska State Patrol Crime Laboratory. Working with the Lincoln Airport Authority, the NSP located the new lab in Air Park adjacent to current patrol facilities. As one of the company’s last major projects to be finished in 2015, the relocation was official at the end of October with all evidence submission effectively rerouted accordingly.
The Nebraska State Patrol Crime Laboratory is a full service forensic laboratory. Established in 1971 and fully operational by 1973, the staff of 26 analyzing an average of 4,000 cases per year and serving 160 different agencies had outgrown their previous location near the Nebraska State Patrol Headquarters. Doubling in size from the previous lab, the new 28,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility was designed to accommodate the possibility of future expansion.
