The renovation project added approximately 2500 square feet to the Brooks Hall building.  The $2 million project, included the addition of an elevator and an addition to the cafeteria, which includes more than $200,000 in kitchen upgrades.
The project brings Mid Plains Community College into compliance with Federal standards for Americans With Disabilities Act and with the addition of an elevator all students have access to all floors. Several rooms were also upgraded to make them accessible to students with disabilities.
In addition to the elevator, cafeteria and lounge improvements were made to the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing for the entire building.
